What Does Level 6 Mean?
Level 6 represents advanced, degree-level study. OTHM assesses its Level 6 qualifications as academically equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree (Honours), Bachelor's Degree, PGCE, Graduate Diploma or Graduate Certificate. A Level 6 Diploma is a diploma qualification with degree-level academic equivalence — it should not automatically be described as identical to having completed a specific Bachelor's degree at a specific university.

Entry Requirements
Standard Entry
Applicants typically hold a relevant Level 5 qualification, certificate or equivalent recognised qualification covering foundational occupational health and safety concepts. Admission is subject to CIC's GTEC-approved programme entry requirements.
Mature Learner Entry
Applicants over the qualification's standard age threshold with relevant work or life experience may also be considered, subject to CIC's and OTHM's mature-entry provisions. This should be confirmed with CIC Admissions at the point of application.
