What Does Level 4 Mean?
Level 4 is the entry point of tertiary-level study within the UK's Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF). OTHM assesses its Level 4 qualifications as academically equivalent to a Higher National Certificate (HNC) and Year 1 of a three-year UK Bachelor's degree. This is academic equivalence within the relevant framework, not automatic entry into or award of a Bachelor's degree — a Level 4 Diploma is a diploma qualification, not a degree.
